RDS Combat Handgun Clinic (LEO Only)

DATE AND TIME: May 2nd 2026 - 0800 to 1700

THIS COURSE IS FOR ACTIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ONLY!

This is an intermediate skill building class. Students will review RDS handgun shooting fundamentals and will assess skill level at the start of the course. The goal of this class is to increase student confidence and capability in utilizing their RDS handgun as a primary weapon type.

 Course curriculum will include:

-Foundation Review 

-Instinctive Shooting and Shooting from Retention

-Grip/Stance/Draw/Sight Picture & Alignment

-Stress Impact on Accuracy

-Movement While Engaging

-Barricade Shooting Positions

-Firing Speed, Controlled Pairs and Rhythm

-Reloads

Required Equipment:

-RDS equipped handgun with holster & duty/battle belt

-3 magazines for your handgun (minimum)

-Ear and eye protection

-Weather appropriate footwear and clothing

-Tactical/Shooting gloves

-300-400 rounds of handgun ammunition (400 preferred) 

-permanent marker

-Law Enforcement Agency I.D.

Recommended Equipment:

-food, water, snacks, packed lunch, extra clothing layers, extra pair of socks and footwear, shot timer
