Combat Handgun Clinic

LOCATION: Echo Valley Training Center - 268 Caliber Drive, High View West Virginia 26808 - Range 1 (first range to your left after passing through the main gate)

DATE AND TIME: August 14th, 2025 - 0900 to 1900

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT STUDENTS HAVE TAKEN FOUNDATIONAL HANDGUN TRAINING PRIOR TO THIS COURSE!

This is an intermediate skill building class. Students will review handgun shooting fundamentals and will assess skill level at the start of the course. The goal of this class is to increase student confidence in utilizing their handgun as a primary weapon type. This is critical to developing transitional skills with a rifle/carbine later.

 Course curriculum will include:

-Foundation Review

-Instinctive Shooting and Shooting from Retention

-Grip/Stance/Draw/Sight Picture & Alignment

-Stress Impact on Accuracy

-Movement While Engaging

-Unconventional Shooting Positions

-Firing Speed, Controlled Pairs and Rhythm

-Reloads

Required Equipment:

-Mid or Full size handgun (Glock 19 or larger) with duty style holster and duty/battle belt that has magazine holders attached. Weapon lights and pistol mounted optics are recommended but not required.

-3 magazines for your handgun (minimum)

-Ear and eye protection

-Weather appropriate footwear and clothing

-Tactical/Shooting gloves

-400 rounds of handgun ammunition (we recommend you bring a little more, closer to 500 rounds. 9mm ammunition is available for purchase at checkout and we will issue it to you at class if you choose to not bring your own)

Recommended Equipment:

-food, water, snacks, packed lunch, extra clothing layers, extra pair of socks and footwear
